RODRIGO ILIZALITURRI

PRINCIPAL PIANIST, REPETITEUR

& VOCAL COACH

Winner of the 2014 Municipal Youth Award granted by the Municipality of Saltillo and a graduate in Music from the Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila. He has performed in various academic and artistic activities in 15 states of the Republic Mexican and in countries like Greece (Athens), United States (Austin and New York), France (Paris), Italy (Arezzo and Bologna), Colombia (Bogotá) and Bulgaria (Varna). To complement his training, he participated in courses and workshops with professors Sergio Ruiz, Monique Rasetti, Elda Nelly Treviño, Jo Greenaway, Enza Ferrari, Danielle Orlando, and Ayrat Kazhaev, director of the Bolshoi Theatre. He was a pianist at the UAdeC Opera Workshop as well as at the Sinaloa Opera Workshop "TAOS" and has collaborated with the Opera Company of Mexico, Coahuila Opera, CONARTE-Opera de Nuevo León, Opera del Noreste and Opera de San Luis.

 

In his professional activity he has worked as a collaborating pianist and/or internal teacher in the works: "Die Zauberflöte", "L'elisir d'amore" "La Bohème", "Tosca", "Suor Angelica","Don Pasquale", "La cambiale di matrimonial", "Werther", "Luisa Fernanda", "Don Giovanni", "La Scala di Seta", "Il signor Bruschino", "Häensel and Gretel", "La occassione fa il Iadro”, “Rigoletto” , "El amor brujo", "Le Nozze di Figaro" and "Gianni Schicchi".

 

He has worked with teachers Arturo Rodríguez, Alfredo Ibarra, Héctor Sosa, Mónica Belinda Garza, Ivet Pérez, Rafael Blázquez, Yvonne Garza, Oscar Martínez, Linus Lerner, Oswaldo Martín del Campo, Yonatan Cna'an, Guido Maria Guida, Jorge Armando Casanova, Horacio Franco, Julio Saldaña, Ludek Golat, José Arean, Oziel Garza, Rocío Tamez, Jorge Parodi, Nancy Fabiola Herrera, James Bagwell, Ragnar Conde and Guenko Guechev. Currently he is musical director, co-founder and pianist of the agency "Ensamble Portato", the company Ópera 360, the agency Roi Music professionals and founding organist of the “Vía Sacra” project. At the same time, he is studying a master's degree in musical interpretation at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
